Gov. Caleb Mutfwang has been commended for commitment to the well-being of citizens by promptly paying the State’s counterpart funds to attract World Bank and other donor agencies to the state.
Chief Markus Nyam, Executive Chairman, Jos East Local Government Area (LGA], gave the commendation while playing host to the team from the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) who visitef purposely to intimate him of the handing over of the projects to the contractors.
Nyam, in a statement issued by Magit Yusufu-Haruna, the Area’s Chief Information Officer, expressed joy with the visit to the LGA, whose major cchallenge, he said. was lack of access roads that could link the villages, farms, and markets for ease of movement and economic activities.
He thanked the state governor for such magnanimity that made Jos East one of the beneficiaries of the intervention of road rehabilitation by RAAMP
The Chairman also appreciated RAAMP for prioritizing the execution of the projects based on the needs of the local government areas across the state and subsequent award of contract
“I wish to assure you of the council’s readiness to give its desired support to the contractors to enable them to deliver the road projects on schedule, ” he said.
Earlier, the RAAMP Infrastructure Engineer, Engr Daniel Tempsen, who led a delegation of RAAMP Project Staff, Consultants and Contractors, expressed gratitude over tge readiness and commitment of the area the the projects to be executed in the area.
Tempsen said that they were in the council to hand over the construction of the road projects in the area, spanning from Gada to Maigemu to Dorong and from Jankasa junction to gangara villages, to the contractors.

He explained that the programme is a collaboration with the World Bank, French Development Agency, Government of Nigeria, and Plateau State Government to be executed within 18 months from the date of handing over to contractor.
The RAAMP Infrastructure Engineer urged the contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery of the projects.
Responding, the Contractor, Forcetech Engineering Company Nigeria limited , Engineer Doctor Oduwale, who lead Consultant, Hassan, Ambassador Ibrahim Kasai and Luka Madaki, all showered accolades on the giant initiative of the three bodies,, the world Bank French Development Agency, Government of Nigeria and Plateau State Government for aiming at opening up rural roads to ease citizens movement of farm produce to the markets.
They commended the Gov. Mutfwang for being passionate about citizens’ well-being and creating a level playing field for the prompt take-off of the projects across the state..
