Clark’s Death Huge Loss To South-South Region- Enang

Sen. Ita Enang has described the demise of Ijaw Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, as a huge loss to the South South region and Nigeria at large.

Enang told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Uyo on Tuesday, that Clark, a former federal commissioner, was an example to Niger Delta people.

He said that the late leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, who died at 97, would be remembered for his commitment to justice, fairness and equity.

The former Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, said that the longevity enjoyed by Clark was a testimony of God’s grace upon him.

“The hands of Pa Edwin Clark were clean, and his heart pure. This is evidenced in the longevity he enjoyed

“Chief Clark did not just think for himself and his family, he thought for the Ijaws, Niger Delta and the South South people.

“He is an example for those of us he left behind. His lifetime tells us to live for the masses, and not just for ourselves,” he said.

Enang described the late Clark as a courageous leader who was committed to the defence of his people, and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.NAN
