CUSTECH Çollaborates With PEEMADI On Power, Technical Education

The Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) and the Power Equipment and Electrical Machine Development Institute (PEEMADI) are set to collaborate on developing manpower and sharing technical knowledge.

Engr. Yakubu Adaaja, PEEMADI’s Managing Director, made the disclosure on Thursday, when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit thr Vice Chancellor of CUSTECH in Osara.

Adaaja said that the visit to tur university was crucial to the institute considering the enormous benefits to both partners technically wise.

According to him, the partnership aims to enhance the technical capacity of CUSTECH’s staff and students.

Responding, CUSTECH Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrahman Salawu, expressed gratitude for PEEMADI’s prompt response to the call for collaboration.

The VC emphasized the university’s goal of producing globally competitive students equipped to tackle societal and industrial challenges.

Salawu disclosed that Six programs at CUSTECH are ready for accreditation by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and the National Universities Commission (NUC).

He expressed optimism that the Faculty of Engineering, with eleven programs, was poised to become the largest in Nigeria.

He acknowledged the support of the former Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello and incumbent Governor, Alh. Ahmed Ododo, in providing necessary equipment for a successful accreditation. (ephemeralnews.com.ng)
