PLASEMA Distributes Food Items to Victims of Armed Attacks

The Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (PLASEMA) has distributed food items to the victims of armed attacks in Kimakpa Village, Kwall District of Bassa Local Government Area (LGA).

Kimakpa was attacked on Monday by assailants, with scores killed, many injured and many houses razed.

PLASEMA Executive Secretary Mr Sunday Abdu said that the Plateau Government’s gesture was to alleviate the victims’ sufferings and sustain them during the difficult times.

Abdu expressed concern over the recurrent attacks but assured the people of the government’s commitment to restoring permanent peace.

The executive secretary added that government remains committed to supporting citizens, particularly during challenging times caused by insecurity.

He prayed for the return of enduring peace and stability in affected communities.

The District Head of Kwall, Chief Hallo Dodo, expressed gratitude to the state government and PLASEMA for their support.

Dodo said that many of the survivors were displaced as their houses were razed by the attackers.

The Youth Leader of Kwall, Mr Joshua Ngwem, expressed worry over the return of attacks in their communities.

Ngwem appreciated PLASEMA for coming to their aid and pleaded for the deployment of more security personnel in the community. NAN
