A musical artist, Miss Precious Mbawav (aka “Presh”), has called on the government and citizens to redouble their efforts to end the ravaging insecurity.
Mbawav stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Makurdi.
Presh said that the government has the capacity to win the war against the bloodthirsty invaders if supported by the citizens.
She said her recently released song, titled “Nder Nen”, is a wake-up call for the people.
“It is because we are sleeping too much that the enemy is winning. If we stand up to the task and are united, we can defeat our enemies.
“Our leaders should wake up and do more so that the enemies won’t defeat us in our land.
“The government needs to be fast in handling the security situation as the bloodshed is getting worse; they need to restrategise with whatever plan they have on the ground,” she said.
She called on upcoming artists and those who were already in the business to support the fight against insecurity with their talents.
NAN gathers that her first album, titled God’s Love, was released in 2022, and the second, titled Wake Up, is in the pipeline and will soon be out to the public.
The artist, a graduate of Linguistics from the Benue State University, hails from Gboko Local Government Area of Benue and is Tiv by tribe but currently resides in Kano, where she is teaching.
