Mr Miller Dantawaye, Commissioner of Police in Kogi on Tuesday, tasked the newly graduating officers of Course VII of the ongoing in-house Refresher Training to uphold professionalism, commitment, hard work, and improved service delivery.
The commissioner gave the charge during their graduation ceremony held in Lokoja.
Dantawaye said : “Improved mental capacity and weapons handling are critical for sustaining the ongoing onslaught against criminal elements in the state.
“I, therefore, urge you as trained officers, to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the one-week intensive training to ensure better and more effective service delivery in your respective areas of deployment.
“You should uphold professionalism, commitment, hard work and improved service delivery.”
He commended the level of commitment, enthusiasm, and resilience exhibited during the training, stressing that “with the performance displayed, the command is poised to experience enhanced service delivery.”
He also commended the Commanding Officer, 37 PMF Lokoja, ACP Abubakar Umar, for successfully coordinating the training exercise, as well as the instructors for their unwavering dedication to building the capacity of officers in the command.
Dantawaye, however, disclosed that the next batch of trainees, Course VIII, would commence their one-week training immediately. NAN
