A cleric, Rotimi Nathaniel of RCCG City of Grace, Region 24, Kogi, has expressed confidence that Nigeria will soon overcome its economic challenges.
Nathaniel spoke on Sunday during the thanksgiving service of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi Chapter, at the City of Grace Regional headquarters in Lokoja.
Delivering a sermon titled ‘Arise to the Next Level’, Nathaniel said President Bola Tinubu’s policies and programmes would eventually bring relief and joy to Nigerians.
Quoting 1 Samuel 1:18-19, the cleric said God had not forgotten Nigeria but would deliver the nation from prevailing security and economic difficulties.
He stressed that God’s love for Nigeria was evident, noting that in spite of political, social, and security trials, the country continues to stand firm and grow stronger.
According to him, kidnapping, banditry, ritual practices and cultism reflect satanic influences, which attract curses and bring ill-will upon the nation and its people.
“In spite of all these, who can battle with the Lord? He is mindful of Nigeria and will deliver her from pain and poverty,” Nathaniel said.
He added that God’s mercy would strengthen Nigeria, bringing shame to her enemies and mockers while uplifting citizens through renewed prosperity and unity.

Nathaniel said the spirit of Jesus symbolised giving, urging Nigerians to help one another to ease economic hardship and restore joy in struggling homes.
He encouraged wealthy individuals and corporate bodies to support the poor, stressing that generosity would bring healing to communities and ease the suffering of many.
According to him, with Tinubu’s policies, Nigerians’ prayers, and mutual love, the nation’s economy would eventually improve for the benefit of all citizens.
The cleric congratulated journalists on their Press Week and prayed that God would continue to protect them as they discharge their role as the Fourth Estate.
In his response, the NUJ State Council Chairman, Mallam Seidu Ademu, thanked the church leadership for granting the union the privilege to hold its thanksgiving service. NAN
