The Executive Chairman of Qua’an-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, has been conferred with an Award of Excellence for his “Outstanding Performance in Grassroot Development” by the Forum of Local Government Information Officers, Plateau State Chapter.
The award was presented to the Chairman by the National President Forum of Local Government Information officers, Mrs Alice Bature held at the Local Government Council Secretariat, Ba’ap in Qua’an-Pan Local Government.
The gesture, according to the National President, is to recognize the Chairman’s developmental strides across the Local Government Area, which have led to his recognition by various bodies within the state and nationally, earning him over six national awards.

In the same vein, the Director of Personnel Management (DPM) of Qua’an-Pan Local Government Council, Mr. Dakos David Shehu, received an Award of Excellence for his “Dedication to Service Delivery” by the Information Officers..
Presenting the award to the recipients, Mrs. Alice Bature, who is also the Plateau State Chairman of the Forum described the Council Chairman as an eagle-eyed leader who identifies and solves community needs.
She highlighted some of the developmental strides initiated by the Chairman across Qua’an-Pan, noting that his efforts have brought impact to the local government since he was appointed Transition Interim Committee Chairman by His Excellency Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and subsequently his election as the Executive Chairman.
Mrs. Bature also commended the DPM’s dedication to service delivery, stating that his services in various local governments have earned him recognition. She noted that the Chairman’s leadership and the DPM’s dedication will unite local government workers for the development of Qua’an-Pan.
Responding, the Chairman, while receiving the award, expressed gratitude to the forum for recognizing his efforts.
The Chairman, who is delighted by the recognition, dedicated the award to the people of Qua’an-Pan Local Government Area, reiterating his commitment to grassroots development.
Hon Manship noted that leadership is about bringing developments to the people, which he tagged as “Servant Leadership.”
Manship called on the Forum of Information Officers to continue their good work for the development of Plateau State, describing them as the “Voice of the Local Governments.”
He applauded their unity, saying it is a catalyst for progress.
The Chairman attributed the development across Qua’an-Pan Local Government to the pragmatic leadership of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, whose vision has enabled him to execute numerous projects.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continue working in line with the “Time Is Now” philosophy in uniting the people of Qua’an-Pan, irrespective of ethnicity or religion.
On his part, the Director of Personnel Management of Qua’an-Pan Local Government Council, David Dakos, appreciated the Forum for honoring him with such an award, noting that the gesture will spur him to contribute his best towards the betterment of the people of the Local Government Area.
