Reports from Jos, the Plateau state capital say, preparations are in top gear towards the Turbaning of Hajiya Ramatu Abdulsalam Agabi as IYE EBULE (Sarauniyan matan Igala) of Plateau state, North Central Nigeria.
Nigerian Kicker reports that Hajiya Ramatu Abdulsalam Agabi, who is a Lecturer at the prestigious NTA Television College, Jos is the first female to be honoured with such Chieftaincy.
The August Turbaning ceremony, which is the first of its kind, is scheduled to hold on Saturday 22nd November, 2025 by 10am at Polo Field, Jos, Plateau state capital.
Invitation to the occasion by Igala Women Association, Plateau state branch, indicates that the ceremony will involve three events – Turbaning of IYE Ebule, Igala women summit and launching of its maiden Magazine.
A member, Federal House of Representatives, Yusuf Gagdi, Dr Kenneth Ojonugwe Egquda and Mr. Emmanuel Elija will be co-Chairmen of the occasion.
The guests of honour include, Surg. Care A. A. Abdullahi (Rtd) and Bashir Lawandi Datti.
The Chair ladies include, Hajiya Jamila Shehu Gwando and Barr Oliver Dazyam.
The special guest of honour at the occasion is Governor of Plateau state, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.
The mother of the occasion is the Deputy Governor of Plateau state, Ngo Josephine Piyo while the Royal mother of the day is Chief Lami Edimeh, the Iye Akume Attah Igala.
The Chief Speaker of the occasion is Ibrahim Alhassan of Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa state.
The Chief Launcher is Hon. Gwanni Mohammed Adamu Alkali (OON).
Royal fathers of the day include, HRM Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Ogunche Akpa Attah Igala and HRM Da Jacob Gyang Buba (CFR).
The Chief Hosts include, HRH Sadiq Saeed Muhammed, Igala community leader, Plateau state.
The Igala Women Association, therefore, honourably invite the good people of Plateau state and Nigerians in general to witness the Turbaning ceremony.
