Three youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reportedly died in a road accident while on their way  to attend the party’s North Central Zonal Congress.

The unfortunate victims from Ogbadibo Local Government Area, Benue State, have died in a tragic motor accident along Markurdi – Lafia road.

The victims have been identified as Hon. Anawo Benjamin of Orokam Ward 3, Hon. Ogbe Enemari of Ai-oono Ward 3, and Hon. Abraham Enenche of Olachagbaha Ward.

They died at the scene, while several other members of the delegation sustained injuries and are receiving medical attention.

The crash occurred on Wednesday along the Makurdi–Lafia road, cutting short the lives of the young party leaders who were on official party duty.

Reacting to the tragedy, Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro, called the incident traumatic and devastating, noting the loss of multiple lives from the same local government area.

Moro sympathised with the people of Ogbadibo, as well as the families, friends, and political associates of the deceased, praying for the repose of their souls and divine comfort for those left behind, while wishing the injured a quick recovery.
