Dep. Gov. Lauds Yusuf-John’s role in Idah/Ofu/Ibaji/Igalamela Federal Constituency Peaceful Primary

Kogi Dep. Gov. Joel Oyibo and leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lauded Dr. Suberu Yusuf-John’s role in the peaceful conduct of Idah/Ofu/Ibaji/Igalamela Federal Constituency primary in the state.

Dr. Yusuf-John,  Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Ahmed Ododo on Road Safety Matters, had successfully served as the Returning Officer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives Primary Election for the 2027 general election in the Idah/Ofu/Ibaji/Igalamela Federal Constituency.

The Deputy Governor gave the commendation when he warmly received Dr. Yusuf-John and his team in his hometown after the conclusion of the election exercise.

The visit reflected cordial engagement and appreciation after the successful conduct of the primary election process.

Oyibo noted that in his capacity as Returning Officer, Dr. Yusuf-John supervised and coordinated the electoral process, ensuring the peaceful and successful conduct and conclusion of the party primary election within the constituency.

He noted that Dr.Yusuf-John’s role as Returning Officer further underscored his contribution to the successful conduct and coordination of the party’s electoral process within the federal constituency.

However, Idah/Ofu/Ibaji/Igalamela Federal Constituency comprises Idah, Ofu, Ibaji, and Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Areas in Kogi State.

The primary election brought together party officials, delegates, stakeholders, party faithful, electoral personnel, and other critical actors who participated in the exercise.

Similarly,  Dr. Yusuf-John, also served as the Local Government Presiding Officer in Ajaokuta during the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Primary Election held on Monday for the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial District election.

The exercise led to the emergence and victory of Yahaya Bello, former Governor of Kogi State, as the party’s candidate.

At the collation centre in Ajaokuta, Dr. Yusuf-John stood alongside Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the current member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, during the official pronouncement of the election results.

The event witnessed the presence of party faithful, electoral officials, critical stakeholders, party executives, and other dignitaries who participated in and observed the conduct of the primary election process.

Dr. Yusuf-John’s role as Local Government Presiding Officer underscored his contribution to the successful coordination and conduct of the electoral process in Ajaokuta Local Government Area. (ephemeralnews.com.ng)
