A’Ibom: VC’s Appointment Demonstrates Commitment, Competence, Excellence – Community

The appointment of Prof. Joseph Essien, as Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology (FUATECH), Obio Akpa is a demonstration of commitment to merit, excellence and competence.

The Ikot Esenam Community in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom said this in a statement in Oruk Anam.

The statement signed by the Chairman of the Village Council, Prof. Francis Udoudoh, and the Secretary, Mr Dominic Utin, expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the appointment.

The statement described the appointment as historic milestone for the community and Akwa Ibom the people.

It stated that the development has brought renewed hope, pride, and confidence in the future of education and development in the state.

“The news of the appointment was received with immense joy and gratitude.

“To the community, Prof. Essien’s appointment represents far more than the emergence of a Vice Chancellor.

‘It is the beginning of a new era of educational advancement, agricultural innovation, research excellence, and technological development,” the statement stated

The Ikot Esenam Community also expressed appreciation to Sen. Godswill Akpabio and Gov Umo for their unwavering support and commitment to the growth and development of Akwa Ibom.

They expressed confidence that Essien possessed the experience, administrative competence, and leadership capacity required to lay a solid academic and infrastructure foundation for the university.
