Rotary Club Donates Birth Kits To 200 Mothers In Jos

The Rotary Club of Jos Central, has donated birth kits to 200 expectant mothers in Jos .

The newly invested 42nd president of the club, Mrs Vivian Abara, on Monday in Jos, said the donation was in line with the thematic areas of Rotary club international aimed at serving humanity

Abara, said the birth kits donated was to help ease the financial burden of expectant mothers in purchasing the kits for delivery.

According to her, the club, as part her blueprint ,during her tenure, has paid the November /December external examinations fees for 10 inmates at the Jos correctional centre.

She further said the club, had trained 20 indigent persons in various skills such as the production of reusable sanitary pads, detergent and sanitizers as a means of ensuring that they were financially independent.

The president revealed that as a means of making the club prominent on the Plateau, the club would be conducting free medical outreach at the Jos correctional centre and it would also be sensitising the populace on the importance of making use of the pedestrian bridge .
