WAFCON 2025: Nigeria beats South Africa 2 – 1 to Final

The Coach Justin Madugu Girls, Nigeria’s Super Falcons,successfully defeated South Africa’s Banyana Banyana 2-1 in the WAFCON semi-final match held on Tuesday,  July 22, 2025 and booked a ticket for the final

The match was played at the Prince Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca, Morocco

The tension soaked match saw Rasheedat Ajibade scoring a penalty in the 44th minute to give Nigeria an early lead.

South Africa equalized in the 59th minute through Linda Motlhalo’s penalty kick.

However, Michelle Alozie, sealed the win for Nigeria with a stunning goal in the 4th minute of added time, securing a spot for the Super Falcons in the final of the competition.

With this victory, Nigeria will face the winner of the Morocco vs. Ghana semi-final match in the WAFCON final.
