Gov Yahaya Bello of Kogi has said that the wealth of knowledge and wisdom of the Attah Igala, Matthew Alaji-Opaluwa, was Kogi and Nigeria’s gain.
Bello made the he assertion in his congratulatory message to the Royal Father on His 59th Birthday issued by his Chief Press Secretary, ONOGWU Muhammed in Lokoja on Saturday.
Bello expressed his gratitude to God for bestowing upon the traditional ruler wealth of knowledge and wisdom, which he said had greatly assisted him (Bello) in piloting the affairs of the state for over seven years now.
“Your Majesty, your wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and fatherly guidance have greatly helped me in steering the ship of the state throughout my administration.”
“There’s no doubt the remarkable progress and development so far recorded in Igalaland was witnessed under the your royal reign.
“Undoubtedly, Igalaland has experienced unparalleled peace, unity, and development since you ascended the throne of your forefathers as the Atta Igala.
“As the Governor of Kogi, I hereby acknowledge the immense value that the highly revered foremost First Class Royal Majesty brings to Igalaland, Kogi and Nigeria as a whole.
“Therefore, as you celebrate your 59th birthday today, I pray that the Almighty Allah grants you long life, abundant wisdom and good health to continue serving your people and the nation, ” he said.
The governor said that on behalf of his family and the good people of Kogi, “I am extremely delighted to extend our warmest felicitations to Your Majesty on this momentous occasion of your 59th birthday.”
Bello, while wishing Atta Igala a joyous Birthday, prayed God to continue to grant him long life, good health, wisdom, understanding and courage to keep on playing the fatherly roles.
Born on May 27, 1964, Alaji-Opaluwa, was appointed as the Atta Igala in October 2021 following his nomination by the kingmakers. His coronation took place on March 4, 2022
