The Kogi Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon. Umar Yusuf, has commiserated with the people of Lokoja Local Government Area over the death of their Education Secretary, Kasim Abdulmalik Ndagi.
Yusuf said that as a mortal, he had no reason to question Ndagi’s sudden demise as God has designed the time each being would taste death.
He described Ndagi’s death as “very shocking” and “sad” having had an interaction with him in Less than 24 hours ago.
The Speaker made the remarks in a statement issued in Lokoja by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed.
The lawmaker expressed his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and the entire people of Lokoja LGA and the state.
He, however, enjoined them to be comforted by the life of service that Ndagi lived and urged them to continue to pray for his departed soul.
The speaker prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus. (ephemeralnews.ng)
