The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Jordan Province 1, Kogi Region 24, on Sunday formally inaugurated Arise and shine parish amongst other new parishes established during the Easter Go-A-Fishing in the State.
Pst Orewale Johnson, APICP in charge of Kogi province 1, while inaugurating the parish, expressed gratitude to God for making its establishment a reality.
Johnson said that it was a part of the vision of RCCG to see that the church expands to reach the unreached across the globe.
Taking his text from Mathew chapter 27: 51-52, on the the topic: “The Power of Resurrection, ” the pastor said that the death of Jesus Christ has given express access to whoever calls upon God.
According to him, the blood of Jesus has washed away the sins of the world so whoever declares Him his Lord and Saviour will have eternal life.
“That’s why verse 52 of where we read says that at Jesus’ death, the graves were opened and many bodies of the saints which slept rose, ” he said.
The APICP, however, prayed for Pastor (Mrs) Roseline Omowunmi-Alabi, who had been was commissioned to be pastor the new parish situated at Workers Village, near Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.
He urged her and other workers of the new parish to be committed and passionate toward serving God for the growth and development of the parish.
Responding, Pst Omowunmi-Alabi, pledged to serve God passionately and diligently by preaching the gospel of salvation to unsaved to be saved.

Also in attendance were Pst (Justice) Bamidele Sina, Zonal Pastor , RCCG Dominion Zone, Pst Jerry Igu, Zonal Pastor, kings House Zone and other Area Pastors ,Church workers, friends and families.
However, prior to the Sunday’s Inauguration, there was a 3 Day Revival Crusade held within the workers village from Thursday to Saturday. (ephemiralnews.ng)
