The management of the Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency ( PLASCHEMA), says its seeking the collaboration of the media to attain its mandate of full universal health coverage in the state by 2030.
Dr. Agabus Manasseh, the Director – General of the Agency, called for the collaboration during the agency’s quarterly media interface on Monday in Jos with the theme entitled ” Media :A tool for sustainable development”.
Manasseh, said the media was key to the agency attaining universal health coverage by 2030 as they served as gate keepers in the dissemination of information to the public especially those in the hard to reach areas..
He said for the agency to attain its 2030 mandate, the media was imperative in the creation of awareness as regards the benefits enrollees stood to gain from the scheme through jingles, news reports and news features.
Mrs Ayuku Pwaso, the chairperson of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Plateau chapter, assured the management of PLASCHEMA, of the unflinching support of journalists in the state to disseminate reports as regards the agency pro actively to enable it attain its 2030 mandate.
