The Kogi pilgrims have been directed to report at the Hajj camp Basan Jiwa village on Airport road, Abuja on Wednesday, May 22 in preparation for their unward journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Hajj exercise.

Sheikh Lukman Abullahi, Chairman, Kogi Hajj Commission, disclosed this in a statement issued in Lokoja on Monday.

Abullahi warned the pilgrims not to fail getting to the camp before 9.00 a.m. of that wednesday.

He explained that movement was in line with the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON).

According to him, the pilgrims are expected to individually find their way to the Abuja Hajj camp in the absence of internal arrangement.

“This we believe is in order since all the pilgrims have been screened and certified medically fit to embark on the journey to Holy Land

“All pilgrims are therefore expected to adhere strictly to the guidelines for the Hajj exercise as earlier handed down to them by the Commission.

“You are also expected to be in your Hajj uniforms on getting to the camp, ” he said. (ephemeralnews.ng)
