More than 1000 persons have been targeted to benefit from a free medical outreach organised by Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Kogi-PDP), representing Kogi Central Senatorial District.
A statement issued in Lokoja on Tuesday by the senator’s media Aide, Arogbonlo Israel, said that the free medical outreach programme aimed at providing free healthcare services to her constituents.
The four-day programme, which started on Monday, was part of the senator’s efforts to improve the lives of her constituents, particularly in the areas of healthcare.
Israel said that the medical team is being led by Pharm. Aliu Ibrahim includes experienced doctors and healthcare professionals who will attend to patients and provide them with quality medical care within the scheduled period of four days.
He gave the venues for the outreache as at Obeiba Cottage Hospital Ihima, Okehi LGA, and Ebiye, Eganyi Cottage Hospital, Ajaokuta LGA, respectively.
According to him, the medical outreach is expected to cater to patients with various health issues, providing them with free drugs and necessary recommendations.
“The services to be rendered include: Child Health: Immunisation, Nutrition Screening, ANC Screening, Scans, Delivery/Labour, Post Partum Management, Emergency Management.
“Others are Gynae: Family Planning, Gynae Health, Reproductive Health, NCDs: Hypertension, Diabetes, Eye Health, etc.,” he said.
