A Veteran Journalist, Alhaji Dada Ahmed, has been appointed the Director of Media to Women in Agriculture Cooperative Federation Limited (WIACFL).

Alhaji Ahmed’s appointment was announced in a statement signed in Lokoja on Sunday by Dr. (Mrs.) Esther  Audu, the National President of the Federation.

Dr. Audu expressed confidence in Ahmed’s0 ability to handle the responsibilities of the office, describing him as a seasoned journalist with decades of experience in the media industry.

Alhaji Ahmed began his journalism career in 1984 with Radio Nigeria in Ilorin.

He later worked with The Herald and The Courier newspapers. He joined the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in 1992, where he rose through the ranks and retired in 2020 as an Assistant Editor-in-Chief.

He is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ), and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Training School, Lagos.

He is the publisher of The Reporters, an online publication based in Lokoja,.

WIACFL is a national body focused on empowering women through agriculture and cooperative initiatives.

The appointment of Ahmed is seen as a strategic move to enhance the federation’s media visibility and communication strategies.
