Mr Solomon Kyemut, the newly elected National President of the Bukuru Old Students Association Technical (BOSAT), has pledged to provide visionary, unified, and value-driven leadership.
Kyemut, who made the pledge on Sunday in Jos, stated that the mandate of the new administration was to preside over the affairs of the association with dignity and purpose.
The national president said that the aim was to advance education, training, and sustainable development within the association, the school, and the wider community.
According to him, the newly inaugurated exco would guide its operations in line with the core values of excellence, technical competence, and integrity for which BOSAT is renowned.
Kyemut, while outlining the future direction of the association, commended the outgoing Executive Council (Exco) for its impactful four-year tenureship that positively transformed the school and its host community.
The new president expressed appreciation for the solid foundation laid by the outgoing leadership and reaffirmed a commitment to building on these achievements.
“This newly inaugurated would continue to pursue initiatives that uplift the school, empower students, and strengthen collaboration among alumni, staff, and the host community,” he added.
Earlier, the outgone national president, Mr Raphael Rume, while handing over the reins of the association to the newly inaugurated national president, thanked members for the opportunity to serve.

Rume said in the area of infrastructure development, notable projects such as the mounting of a remodelled school gate to enhance the school’s outlook, the provision of solar-powered street lights to improve safety and visibility, and the rehabilitation of the road linking the administration building to the dining hall.
He further said that the association also provided chairs in classrooms to create a more conducive learning environment for the students.
According to him, to further enhance the academic standards of its alma mater, the association introduced a volunteer teaching and mentorship initiative.
He said through the programme, old students with strong educational backgrounds volunteered their time to teach and mentor current students in selected subjects, thereby giving back to the school and contributing to improved learning outcomes.
Some members of the association who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) expressed optimism that the new leadership would sustain progress and usher in a new era of growth and excellence for BOSAT. NAN
