Nigerians have been urged to put their trust in God and the Federal Government in tackling and over coming the nation’s security and economic challenges.
Pst. Eric Akinsanmi, Kogi 1 Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Provincial Pastor, made the call on Sunday at a thanksgiving service of a three- day programme held by RCCG Dominion Zone, Lokoja.
The Cleric, who spoke on the topic “Awesome God,” said that if only Nigerians could have the fear of God at heart, and completely obeyed Him, He shall surprise the nation by showing His mightiness.
Quoting from the Holy Bible, Ps 68:35, he said God could give President Bola Tinubu led administration the wisdom and understanding on how to turn around the woes of the nation into greatness and wealth.
“But all it takes is for Nigerians to fear and recognise God’s awesomeness and power to turn around our security and economic challenges for the better.
“God, in His infinite mercy, can put a stop to the evill and wickedness being visited on Nigeria by enemies of progress and transform it to greatness, ” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the three -day programme began on Friday with the Guest Speaker, Pst. Jonah Joshua, dissecting the awesomeness of God in people’s lives from time immemorial.
Joshua explained that the heavens and the earth displayed the awesomeness of God in their beauty and glory as they appealed to both God and mankind.
He said that God was not limited by time and season, as He could manifest His awesomeness, wonders and miracles at any time and anywhere in people’s lives to the shame of the devil.
According to him, all it takes is for people to put their faith in God when they pray, and all their prayers shall be answered, as He did unto many that called upon Him in the past.
Also speaking, the host and Dominion Mega Zonal Pastor, Justice Aina Bamidele, said that the essence of the programme was to open the faith-connection-channel for the people to encounter the awesomeness of God in the hard economic times.
“I believe that testimonies shall abound after this programme, knowing the God we serve is a very loving and compassionate father to those that looked up to Him for help, ” he said.
The Choir sang a song titled, “How Great Thou Art, ” in praise to the Lord God, which made the whole church rose in worship, waving their hands to the Lord with shouts of “Hallelujah”. NAN
