Ex-Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi on Thursday expressed deep shock over the unexpected demise of former House of Representatives Member, Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim-Idris, on April 10.
Late Mohammed-Idris, who served as the representative for Olomaboro, Ankpa, and Omala Federal Constituency from 2007 to 2011, reportedly slumped and died in his Abuja residence shortly after Eid prayer.
He was the eldest son of the former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.
Bello, in his condolence message through his media office, described the late lawmaker as a progressive politician and a proud ambassador of the state, who navigated the political landscape with fairness and integrity.
He extended his heartfelt condolences and words of solace to the grieving father, Idris, emphasizing that Mohammed lived a life of peace and served as a shining example for others to follow.
“As painful as Mohammed-Idris departure is, I urge the family to find comfort in his impactful legacies.
“I pray that Allah will grant the departed soul eternal peace, ” he said.
Bello also asked for divine strength for both the immediate and extended families to endure the profound loss. (ephemeral news.ng)
