Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP-Kogi) on Sunday mourned the demise of Sen. Alex Kadiri and urged the family to take solace in God, the creator of Heavens and Earth.
Natasha, the Lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, also mourned the passing of former Chief of Defense Staff, Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi, describing their deaths as a significant loss to Kogi and Nigeria.
In a statement issued in Lokoja, by her media aide, Arogbonlo Israel, was almost in tears during the visit to the widow of late Kadiri.
Late Kadiri, who represented Kogi East Senatorial District from 1999 to 2007, passed away on June 27 at the age of 82, while Admiral Ogohi, the first Nigerian Navy officer to attain a four-star general rank, passed away on June 30 at the age of 75.
She eulogized the deceased and described them as “patriotic Nigerians”, who served the country diligently during their time and brought pride to Kogi.
Natasha , however, expressed her sympathy to the families and offered prayers for the repose of their souls.(ephemeralnews.ng)
