Gov. Usman Ododo of Kogi has congratulated Mr Mohammed Sheidu, on his appointment as the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF).
This is contained in a statement issued by the Information Commissioner, Kingsley Fanwo.
Ododo described the appointment as “a confirmation of his astuteness in his chosen profession and the confidence reposed in him to bring his wealth of experience to bear in repositioning the NPTF.
The governor also described Sheidu’s appointment as a welcome development and an honour to the entire citizen of Kogi.
“We have no doubt that Sheidu will bring the Kogi spirit of excellence to bear in setting standards that will justify the meritorious consideration behind his appointment.
“As a renowned security consultant, the new executive secretary will no doubt use this opportunity to open more doors for the Nigerian youth to be entrusted with strategic responsibilities in governance,” he said.
According to Ododo, Sheidu’s appointment aligned with the Tinubu-led administration’s commitment to ensure security of lives and promote prosperity.
“The government and the good people of Kogi wish to congratulate Mr Mohammed Sheidu on his appointment as the executive secretary, Nigeria Police Trust Fund.
“We also thank President Bola Tinubu, for finding an accomplished citizen worthy of such a strategic appointment.
“To us, the President has shown and demonstrated his faith in the best of Kogi to work with him to accomplish the Renewed Hope Agenda for a greater Nigeria.
“The appointment of Sheidu demonstrates an unswerving commitment of the President to work with young, committed and resourceful Nigerians regardless of their state of origin,” he said.
Ododo assured the President of his readiness to lead Kogi citizens to support his policies and programmes for the good of the nation.
He pledged to support Sheidu to succeed in his new assignment. NAN
