The Akwa Ibom State Police Commissioner, Mr Baba Azare, has seek for the assistance and support of traditional to the police in their fight against crime and criminality in the State.
Azare made tge xalk on Thursday when he paid a courtesy visit to the President-General of the Akwa Ibom Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Oku Ibom Ibibio, Ntenyin Dr. Solomon Etuk.
The CP emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in maintaining peace and security.
He sought their cooperation and intelligence-sharing, noting that grassroots collaboration is vital in strengthening security efforts.
Responding, His Eminence, Ntenyin Dr. Solomon Etuk, assured the Commissioner of the full support of traditional rulers the police in their efforts to maintain peace and security in the state.
The traditional ruler pledged to sustain cooperation between the Police and traditional institutions.
