Mr Kim Bot, Executive Secretary (ES), Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Management Agency (PS-DMCMA), says the award bestowed on him by May & Baker Nigeria Plc will spur him to do more.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Bot emerged as the winner of the 2025 May & Baker professional service award in pharmacy at the company’s 98th National Annual Conference recently held in Kano.
Bot, who is also the chief executive officer of KIMKY Pharmaceuticals and Enterprises, got N1.5m for contributing to pharmaceutical sciences and research in Nigeria.
The ES told NAN on Tuesday in Jos that the award would spur him to redouble his efforts in advancing pharmaceutical practice, promoting local drug manufacturing, and improving access to quality healthcare across Nigeria.
He commended May & Baker Nigeria Plc for finding him worthy of the recognition, describing the award as a great honour and encouragement to do more.
“I am deeply humbled by this recognition. I commend May & Baker for their commitment to celebrating excellence in our profession,” he said.
The Managing Director of May & Baker Nigeria Plc, Mr Patrick Ajah, said that the award was in recognition of Bot’s remarkable achievements and innovations in pharmaceutical science and research.
Ajah stated that the awardee emerged the winner ahead of several other distinguished professionals across Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector.
The managing director further said Bot’s recognition underscored his commitment to quality healthcare delivery, local drug production, and improved access to essential medicines.
He added that the awardee’s values aligned with May & Baker’s vision of promoting health and wellbeing across Africa.
According to Ajah, the award was to celebrate excellence, leadership and innovation among pharmacy professionals who have made exceptional contributions to healthcare delivery and pharmaceutical development in Nigeria.
He emphasised that it was also meant to encourage excellence and innovation within the profession.
