President Bola Tinubu has appointed Tunji Disu as replacement to Kayode Egbetokun as the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
The President reportedly ordered the removal of Egbetokun from office on Monday.
Tunji Disu, until His appointment was the Assistant Inspector General of Police overseeing the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos.
According Sahara reports, Egbetokun was at the (Presidential) Villa on Monday and was told to go and prepare his handover notes.
It quoted a source, who expressed the belief that the outgoing IGP was expected to have handed over to Tunji Disu on Tuesday. (Ephemeralnews.com.ng)
