Plateau House of Assembly member, Mr Dickson Chollom (APC/Barkin Ladi Constituency), has solicited support from well-meaning individuals and organisations for victims of rainstorm in Ratt Village of Foron District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.
Chollom made the appeal on Friday, when he visited the affected community.
The lawmaker particularly called on the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other relevant agencies to come to the aid of the residents whose farms and homes were ravaged by rainstorm on Wednesday.
He sympatised with those whose property was affected and promised to assist them in whatever way possible.
Chollom appealed to his constituents to have faith in Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s state government.
According to him, the Mutfwang administration is committed to seeing that citizens of the state enjoy good governance and the dividends of democracy.
The community leader, Mr Yusuf Pam, appreciated the lawmaker for visiting and sharing in their pains following the unfortunate incident that befell them.
Pam appealed for assistance for his people, considering the hard economy, and the fact that most of their belongings have been destroyed by the rainstorm.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that residential houses and a church were affected by the violent rainstorm. NAN
