The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Harvest Centre’s Women of Zion on Thursday joined their counterparts across the Globe in a Fire Conference meant to spiritually transform families in Nigeria and the World over.

Pst Mrs Abosede Adeoye, APICP Admin. Nasarawa Province 1’s Wife (RCCG Harvest Centre), who spoke through Dcns Patricia Charlie, Children’s Coordinator, gave an insight into the 3-Day programme holding at the Harvest Centre Cathedral along Old Karu Road, Karu LGA of Nasarawa State.

The conference, she said, was one of the annual women programmes of the RCCG with Mother-In-Israel, Mommy General Over (GO), Pst (Mrs) Folu Adeboye, as the Chief Host, and the main push in seeing women take their place in winning their families for Christ.

Pst Adeoye, the Zonal Mommy, disclosed that the Region 28 Mommy, Provincial Mommy and other seasoned professionals were fully set to lead various sessions of the conference that won’t just inspire the women, but also equip them to take the RCCG and their family units to greater heights.

She said that the glaring moral decadence in the Nigerian society today calls for intense prayers for God’s divine intervention, especially in the lives of the children and youths.

According to her, the youths have become the devil’s targets, manipulating them in diverse ways aimed at destroying them and their future.

The Zonal Mommy noted that unless the church and parents rise to the occasion, the societal moral decadence would degenerate, and the terrorism, kidnapping, rituals, Cyber crime, banditry and the likes would not stop.

She said: “We, the women of Zion are so worried over these developments in Nigeria and have decided to intensify our prayers and spiritual battle against the works of satan for God’s divine intervention and salvation of our families and the nation in general.

“This step aligns with the vision of the RCCG being coordinated by the General Overseer (GO), Pst Enoch Adejere-Adeboye, towards winning the entire world for the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Pst Adeoye said that RCCG was founded in 1952 by late Reverend Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi in Ebute Metta, Lagos, Nigeria, with just nine members, but has grown under the leadership of Pst. Adeboye into a global Pentecostal Mega-Church with parishes in over 190 countries.

“The Annual Conventions in August and the Holy Ghost Congresses in December serve as pivotal spiritual gatherings and celebrations of the church’s anniversary as well as means of building the spiritual lives of both men and women aa well as children towards winning more souls for Christ across the globe.

“The first official annual convention took place in Lagos, Nigeria in 1976 with the theme “The Way to Heaven”, which to God’s glory, brought about the exponential growth in attendance that forced the church to relocate these massive gatherings to the Redemption City (formerly Redemption Camp) along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

“RCCG has so far held 73 Years of Ever-Impactful conventions aside various Women and Youths Conventions that have not only transformed lives but have contributed to the growth of the universal church, ” she said.

Accoding to her. that explains why the RCCG which has an estimated five to six million active members in Nigeria and over nine million adherents across the world, has embarked on vision 2032 deliberately aimed at winning well over 40 million souls for Christ.

Pst Adeoye, however, urged women across Nasarawa state and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, to endeavour to attend the power packed fire conference for the betterment of family units and the nigerian society. (ephemeralnews.com.ng)
